The Cloud pushchair is the latest innovation in seating from Tendercare Ltd. Based on our popular Snappi seat, the Cloud seat combines many of these features (including seat tilt in space and back recline) with novel, modular-style additions (including external headrest capability).
The Cloud seat fits onto our existing Cloud chassis but with a new interface. This new interface fits in either a forward facing or rearward facing position enabling a choice between world or parent facing depending on the needs at that time. Rearward-facing pushchairs make monitoring certain health conditions much easier and safer. In addition, children benefit hugely from interaction and engagement so having your child face you allows you to provide reassuring eye contact and facilitates easier communication (it is much easier to have a conversation when both parties are facing each other). However, this isn’t to say there aren’t as many benefits from forward-facing buggies. Children are by nature highly curious and learn a lot from their surroundings and so benefit from observing the changing world around them. Another key factor when deciding your buggy orientation is whether you need (or will need) to transport your child in a wheelchair-adapted vehicle as only forward-facing buggies can be transported in this manner. The Cloud interface means it’s no longer a case of choosing between forward and rearward facing; instead, a family can change the direction of the seat as often as they like. Traditionally, changing the orientation required a clinic appointment. However, the new style of interface can be fitted by the family in either direction thus eliminating the need for engineer / clinical assistance.
As you have come to expect from a Tendercare pushchair, hassle free features are at the forefront of the Cloud’s design. For example, to facilitate quicker and smoother clinic appointments, the seat depth, seat width and angle of the hip guides are all handwheel adjustable. Additionally, various features of the seat are dual purpose; for example, the hip guides in addition to being angle, width and length adjustable are also height adjustable and fitted with a curved top so can be used as armrests. Furthermore, to aid stock control, clinical ease and minimise wastage, many spare parts and postural accessories are interchangeable between Tendercare pushchairs.
To make the Cloud seat customisable to as many clients as possible, the seat can be fitted with a selection of external headrests. Additionally, like all Tendercare-designed pushchairs as both the designer and manufacturer we can customise the buggy to the client. As large and varied as our range of postural accessories is, we understand that sometimes an off-the-shelf accessory just isn’t the best option so can create custom accessories. Examples of such adaptations include pressure-relief foam covers, different material covers, unique headrest shapes, extended laterals etc. – the possibilities really are endless!
As the Cloud seat fits in the Cloud chassis, this buggy offers all the features of the Cloud chassis in addition to the new features of the seat. This includes a maximum carrying weight of 55kg (comprising of the occupant and all accessories), capability to side mount equipment and a lot of space underneath the pushchair to fit taller equipment, such as suction machines, standing up. These features ensure children who need to carry a lot of medical equipment are not denied a stylish, supportive buggy.
The Cloud pushchair (when forward facing) has been successfully crash tested according to ISO7176/19, ensuring safe transportation of the occupant in specially adapted vehicles.
