MAY 2026 - AJM Choice and Tendercare collaborate to improve access to specialist car seats for children and young people
We are thrilled to announce a collaberation with AJM Choice (the private mobility division of AJM Healthcare) focused on improving access to specialist car seat solutions for children and young people with additional and complex needs.

The collaboration will see AJM Choice provide assessment, trials, supply and ongoing support for our specialist car seat range, helping families access clinically appropriate travel solutions through a nationwide service model.

FEBRUARY 2025 - CHANGE OF SWIFTY HARNESS
The Swifty & Swifty 2 are now supplied as standard with a 5 point harness (unless an upgraded harness has been selected) instead of the previous h belt harness (part code TH6629/4) which has now been discontinued. This new harness can be fitted to both the Swifty pushhcairs (using part code TH8480) and our other pushchairs (Snappi, Snappi Cloud, Snappi Swirl and Snazzi, using part code SN8480) should you require a 5 point harness.

AUGUST 2023 - NEW SUNHOOD AND RAINSHIELD FOR THE SNAPPI PUSHCHAIR RANGE
We have recently changed the design of the sunhood so it can be used on any size of Snappi pushchair as a way of trying to make accessories more affordable for everyone. This change means you will only need to purchase one sunhood for the Snappi. The rainshield, however, is size specific. Another thing we have changed is the shape of the sunhood so it now offers more protection from both the sun and rain.

New Customer Photos
We have had a little rejig of the website to (hopefully!) make it easier for you to find all the lovely photos families have submitted to us of their little ones out and about in their Tendercare products. We still have the generic "Your Photos" tab at the top which shows all the photos we have been sent but we have also created product-specific customer photos page under each product. This means all the Snappi customer photos, for example, will all be together. If you would like to submit a photo, we would love to hear from you. Kindly email us either at info@tendercareltd.com or sales@tendercareltd.com. We are slowly adding the photos to each product so bear with us if the website looks a little untidy in the interim. SEPTEMBER 2020 – SWIFTY 2 SEAT DEPTH NOW ADJUSTABLE BY PLATES
Thomas Hilfen share the same ethos as us in that they too like to review and improve their range of postural products based upon feedback. As such, the seat depth for the Swifty 2 is now adjustable by plates as opposed to by pads this means the adjustment is now within the chair itself. We are still manufacturing 1 and 2 inch depth reduction pads should you need to further reduce the seat depth. For further sizing information, please click here to view the technical information.

JULY 2020 - NEW CAR SEAT: THE CO-PILOT
The Co-Pilot car seat has been designed to combine early seating-intervention with the comfort, style and ease of use you expect from a car seat. Most special needs car seats have a minimum weight capacity of either 9kg or 15kg; however, the Co-Pilot can be used from birth making it the perfect addition to Thomas Hilfen's existing range of car seats. JUNE 2020 - SIBLING SEATS FOR OUR PUSHCHAIRS
We often get asked whether our buggies can accommodate a sibling; it's an understandable question and, in short, yes they can. The age, size and weight of the sibling would effect which sibling seat would be most suitable. To make it easier for you to see what options are available for your particular pushchair, we have added / are in the process of adding photos to the "Features and Accessory Images" page of each pushchair so you can see photos of compatible sibling seats fitted.

As you may (or may not!) be aware, as we design and manufacture our own brand of pushchairs, we can create bespoke accessories and adapatations. As large and varied as our range of postural accessories is, we understand that sometimes an off-the-shelf accessory just isn’t the best option which is why, as both the designer and manufacturer of the Snappi Cloud, Snappi, Swirl and Snazzi pushchairs and accessories, we can create custom accessories to suit any need. Please be advised the Mini Tilt wheelchair/wheelbase has now been discontinued. Don't worry if you were wanting to interface our Modular seat to a wheelchair, our Modular can still be interfaced to a multitude of different wheelchair bases. OCTOBER 2018 - SNAZZI EQUIPMENT CARRYING TRAYS
As you may (or may not) be aware, the Snazzi now comes as standard with a pin lock brake. To accommodate the change in brake, we have altered the equipment carrying tray. As such the part code for equipment carrying trays is different depaending upon whether you are fitting to the new or old style Snazzi. SEPTEMBER 2018 - NEW HEADREST SHAPE
Following therapist feedback, we have manufactured a new headrest shape, semi reccess with curved sides, which can be fitted to any of our pushchairs. Think of it as a midway between reccess and extra reccess but thicker as well. Download the latest assessment forms by clicking here.

AUGUST 2018 - NEW COLOUR OPTION FOR THE SNAZZI PUSHCHAIR

JULY 2018 - NEW BRAKE MECHANISM
We are excited to announce the Snazzi pushchair is supplied, as standard, with a pin lock brake. This new brake mechanism is not only quieter to operate but also allows for a less strenuous movement to engage the brake. This exciting development manages to combine the stability and security of our previous mechanism with enhanced usability.

JUNE 2018 - SUNHOOD ADAPTATION FOR MODULAR SEATING
We always appreciate customer feedback, after all who knows the products better than the users' themselves? Sunhoods on modular seating has always been a hot topic but due to the bespoke nature of modular seating it has always been thought that it wasn't possible to fit a sunhood to this style of seat. Well not anymore! We have designed an adaptation to allow modular seats on Snappi, Discovery and Mini Tilt wheelbases to have a sunhood option.

APRIL 2018 - THOMAS HILFEN (OLD STYLE), NEOPRENE HARNESSING
Both the small and medium, old style, TH harness (part codes TH6385 & TH6585) are no longer available. We are currently working on sourcing a replacement. This year Tendercare will be returning to Kidz Middle to showcase our latest product range including the innovative, oval-tubed Cloud buggy and the easy-to-rotate, with the child in the buggy, Swirl pushchair. JANUARY 2018 - HUB BRAKE WHEELS
Did you know the Snappi, Snazzi, Swirl and Swifty pushchairs are all available with push-handle mounted attendent brakes? This is particularly usueful for families who live in hilly areas as it enables them to operate the brake by hand rather than by foot.

The Tilt & Fold Gas Strut Wheelchair is presently available in only one choice of upholstery colour. It used to be available in Ambla Jive Rhythm. However, this fabric has been discontinued and so the Tilt & Fold is now solely available in Ambla Jive Libretto (the same fabric as the Mini Tilt Wheelchair). Designed with the Swifty as its inspiration, and thus named the Swifty 2, this buggy has been designed with larger children (up to 50kg) in mind. The Swifty 2 retains many of the features loved on the Swifty (such as back recline, an all-in-one-fold, crash-tested for use in wheelchair-adapted vehicles) but with a primary focus of offering larger children an alternative to a wheelchair. We sometimes have a small quantity of ex-demo buggies and car seats. We regularly change our demo/assessment stock so, apart from slight cosmetic wear, these are in excellent condition. If you would like to purchase any of our ex-demo items, please do get in touch as we can offer a discount off the usual RRP.

OCTOBER 2015
We are pleased to announce the launch of a series of 'how to videos' for the Snappi, Snazzi and Swifty pushcahirs. Our goal is to provide a visual summary of how to use key features of the pushchairs. We will continue to add more videos so do stay tuned!

SEPTEMBER 2015
To further cater for our littlest clients, a seat minimiser is now available for both forward and rearward facing size 1 Snappis. The seat minimiser can be fitted either at the point of manufacture or retro-fitted by a technician. It enables the size 1 Snappi to be made smaller in order to ensure perfect postural support for even the smallest child - the full measurements can be seen on our technical page or by clicking here.

JULY 2015 - EXCITING PRODUCT UPDATES
Tendercare is excited to anounce the launch of our new, soft-touch, pin lock brake on all new Size 1 and 2 Snappis. This new brake mechanism is not only quieter to operate but also allows for a less strenuous movement to engage the brake. This exciting development manages to combine the stability and security of our previous mechanism with enhanced usability.

Tendercare is excited to announce that both our private purchases order form and VAT form can now be filled in online and emailed directly to us. Please note, if you are filling in the form on either a tablet or mobile device you may first need to download the free Adobe Reader app on either Apple's App Store or the Google Play Store. We have recently launched three exciting, new additions to our popular Aqua Stirata colour range for the Modular seating system. The back height of the Snappi size 2 has now been increased, offering a new back height of 590 to 760mm.

There seems to be a great deal of uncertainty regarding the transportation of children under 22kg in pushchairs/wheelchairs. APRIL 2014
The new Recaro Monza Nova 2 car seat is launched, which now includes an abduction block, as standard. In the event of a crash the new integrated side pads reduce the forces on the head, neck and shoulders by up to 30%. At only 6Kg the Monza Nova is the lightest Rehab car seat in its class (ECE group II-III). For further information click here .

The Snappi pushchair size 1 now has a maximum carrying weight of 40kg. The back height has been increased by 55mm and now offers a new back height of 500 to 675mm. The back height of the size 2 Snappi will be increased later this year.

OCTOBER 2011
We are pleased to confirm that following successful testing of the Passive Locking Interface (available from Active Design Ltd) the CapsII and MiniCAPS Seating System are suitable for interfacing to the Snappi Wheelbase using only this interface. We have worked for many years with Active Design and their seating systems have been successfully fitted to our wheelbases during this time. An updated joint compatibility statement has been prepared and can be viewed by clicking here.

SEPTEMBER 2011
The new turning plate is now available for the Recaro Sport & Monza car seats; the turning plate is only available with IsoFix fittings. The turning plate is easily removable allowing the car seat to be transferred between vehicles, even if one of the vehicles does not have Isofix points fitted.

AUGUST 2011
The new Snazzi pushchair is launched and offers a Tilt in Space Facility of 10º - 40º . The Snazzi offers an excellent all in one folding action making it easy for busy families to use, whilst at the same time offering a full range of postural supports and accessories.

The Snappi pushchair is now available in the new Anthracite Frame colour.

We are pleased to announce that the Leckey Squiggles & Mygo have both been successfully crash tested on the Snappi Wheelbase. The Snappi Wheelbase assessment form has been updated to show the new Squiggles compatible Wheelbase option. The Mygo fits onto a standard Size 2 Snappi Chassis.

APRIL 2011
Our new playtray design means it is compatible with both the Nursery and Junior Snugseat Snappi. The playtray is available in a choice of clear or black for both sizes.

Whizz-Kidz and Blue Peter currently have a special appeal for Christmas. 'Whizz-Kidz has been chosen as Blue Peter's appeal charity for 2010/11. The Blue Peter Go Cardz Appeal is asking children to make Christmas cards that will be sold in selected* Tesco Superstores and Extra stores nationwide for a retail price of £1.20. Every penny spent on each pack of cards will go to Whizz-Kidz to help transform disabled children's lives.

For those children with a size 2 Snappi pushchair, it is still possible to have a footmuff custom made by providing the measurements. We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Vela Hip Hop children's indoor chair. This unique chair is suitable for use at school or in the home. The Hip Hop 300 will extend in height from 28cm to 68cm and has a tilting facility of up to 24°, whilst the Hip Hop 100 will extend in height from 38cm to 48cm.

The Tilt & Fold Gas Strut Wheelchair is now supplied with angle adjustable footrests as standard.

The Quick EasyS is a multi functional hi/low indoor frame, which incorporates an easy to operate Gas Strut height and seat adjustment facility, making it ideal for use at school or in the home. The Quick Easy Standard Base will extend in height from 30cm to 66cm and has a tilting facility of up to 28°. This product can either be purchased as a base or complete with the EasyS seating system.

We have now introduced an additional four fabric colour choices to our Modular Seating System, bringing the total range of colours and fabrics to fourteen.

AUGUST 2006
New tray launched for the EasyS seating system. The new clear fibreglass tray replaces the previously supplied yellow tray. The split design allows for photographs or pictures to be inserted.

We have now introduced three new wheelbases for use with the EasyS Seating System, the Max, Jogger and Rolly. The simple to use click fix lever on the seat makes it easy to transfer the seat to different chassis's.

We have now launched an additional version of the Mini Tilt Wheelchair/Wheelbase that offers an independent multi positional back recline facility.

We are pleased to announce that the Mini Tilt Wheelchair/Wheelbase was a finalist at the Naidex New Product of the year award.

The Swifty has been successfully crash tested according to ISO 7176/19 and ANSI/RESNA WC/vol.1 section 19 6/22/99 draft, thereby ensuring safe transportation of the child in specially adapted vehicles.

The new Mini Tilt Wheelchair/Wheelbase is launched as a low cost, highly efficient wheelchair specifically designed for those who require a Tilt in Space facility. The Mini Tilt has been successfully impact tested, to ISO 7176/19, for use in vehicles. Available in 12”, 14” & 16” Seat widths with various seat depths.

The Tilt & Fold Gas Strut Wheelchair has now been successfully impact tested to ISO 7176/19, in the Mid Recline Position. As far as we are aware the Tilt & Fold Gas Strut Wheelchair is the only Tilt in space wheelchair that can be currently transported in any sort of recline position!
